On the evening of July 28th, under the shimmering stars of a summer night, 50 young individuals from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area gathered at the South China Botanical Garden in Guangzhou for a delightful night of park festivities.
Dubbed the "Fantastic Night at the Botanical Garden", this event offered the youth from the Greater Bay Area anextraordinary outdoor "light socializing" adventure, featuring a starry music party, a summer sports competition, and a nocturnal stroll through the enchanting plant kingdom.
Amidst the fluttering butterflies and twinkling fireflies, the young folks from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao formed groups and meandered through the garden"s nocturnal wonders, accompanied by the gentle hum of insects and the allure of the forest"s mysteries.

Zuo Xianyi, who hails from Hong Kong, experienced her first-ever night visit to a botanical garden and was left awe-struck by its magic. Guided by her teachers, she swiftly "captured" sightings of moths, tree frogs, and other nocturnal creatures, eagerly learning about their unique characteristics and habits.
Reflecting on the experience, Zuo Xianyi marveled at how these "little neighbors" of humanity were bestowed by Mother Nature, emphasizing their contribution to the environment. "Only through harmonious coexistence can our earthly home become even more beautiful," she remarked.
During the starlit music party, the young participants from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao lit up the city"s night with their harmonious voices. Encircled, they sang along to classic Cantonese songs and nostalgic tunes from their school days, blending the melodies of instruments and voices into a delightful symphony.
Engaging in various games, the youth decorated their fluorescent sticks into shapes of butterflies and insects, or collaborated hand in hand to pass the "glow-in-the-dark hula hoops", fully immersing themselves in the romantic ambiance of a starry summer night.
Compared to "military-style" travel (the latest trend among Chinese college students for traveling to many places during weekends with less money), Macao youth, Liang Jinchang, expressed a preference for taking it slow and savoring nature. "The moonlight was so beautiful, and the breeze was gentle. The scene of everyone gathering to sing together really touched me," he shared.
In recent years, with the rising popularity of outdoor "light socializing" activities like hiking and CityWalk among the younger generation, youths" perception of cities has evolved to become more diverse and profound. Their pursuit of cultural and social scenes now places a greater emphasis on depth and genuine experiences.
(更多新闻资讯,请关注羊城派 pai.ycwb.com)
